Wrestling GM 2026 - Beta 1.2.1 Release Notes
Beta 1.2.1 is now live
Smarter contracts, stronger brand logic, better desktop support, and a more reliable game
Beta 1.2.1 is now rolling out for Wrestling GM 2026.
This is a smaller patch following Beta 1.2.0, but it fixes and improves several systems that sit underneath some of the game's most important features.
The main focus is reliability.
TV Network deals, Sponsors, Network Goals, brands, Community Rewards, legacy AI rosters, startup screens, larger devices, localisation, and web performance have all received attention.
The result should be a game that behaves more predictably across complex saves and works much better across mobile, tablet, desktop, and web.

Brand scoping is now much smarter
A major part of this patch focuses on how TV Network deals, Sponsors, brands, and shows interact.
As Wrestling GM 2026 has expanded into multi-brand federations, the underlying contract logic has become more complicated.
Beta 1.2.1 tightens those rules considerably.
TV deals now resolve the correct brand
Fixed situations where a show could accidentally use a brand-specific TV deal when an All Brands deal should have applied, or use the All Brands deal when a specific brand deal was actually the correct contract.
The game now uses a stricter brand-first rule when resolving deals.
It will also repair incorrect or stale deal links automatically rather than continuing to trust an outdated connection stored against the show.
Why this matters
Your show should always be connected to the deal you actually signed.
That affects:
- Network payouts
- Network Goals
- Relationship changes
- Goal rewards
- GM and Federation XP
This update makes those systems much more dependable.
Sponsors now support All Brands
Sponsor contracts now have an All Brands option, matching the TV Network system.
Previously, federations without brands could end up unable to sign Sponsorship deals at all.
All Brands Sponsor payouts could also fail silently.
Both situations have now been addressed.
One consistent brand selector
The brand selection experience has also been unified.
Sponsors, Show Creation, and TV Network deal signing now use the same card-based selector:
- All Brands
- Individual brands
This replaces several different dropdown implementations and makes brand selection more consistent throughout the game.
Multi-brand Show Creation
TV Network deal signing now supports selecting multiple brands.
Show Creation has also been improved.
When selecting multiple brands for a show, Wrestling GM 2026 now creates one supershow featuring those brands together.
Previously, the game could incorrectly create separate shows for every selected brand.
Why this matters
If you want to run a cross-brand special event, the game now understands that as one event instead of treating every brand as a completely separate show.
Preventing duplicate payouts
A loophole has been closed where an All Brands deal and a specific-brand deal of the same type could both be active for the same brand.
This could potentially result in duplicate payouts.
All Brands and specific-brand contracts of the same type are now mutually exclusive.
When a contract cannot be signed because another one already covers that brand, the relevant action is disabled and the game explains why.
Network Goals
Network Goals also received another round of fixes.
Goals now follow the correct deal
Network Goals now resolve their contract using the same improved brand logic as payouts.
A brand-assigned show will no longer lose its Network Goal simply because the federation is using an All Brands contract.
Feature This Wrestler goals can recover
The new Feature This Wrestler goal could previously become impossible if the selected wrestler:
- Reached the end of their contract
- Was released
- Left following an ultimatum
The goal will now automatically choose another eligible wrestler instead of becoming permanently unwinnable.
Goal claiming is more reliable
The underlying goal system now works from the correct brand and contract rather than relying on potentially outdated information stored against the show.
This should make Network Goal generation, display, completion, and claiming significantly more reliable.
TV Network renegotiation is now functional
The Renegotiate option on TV Network contracts is now a real feature.
Previously, selecting it only displayed a Coming Soon message.
When a contract enters its renewal window, players can now renegotiate directly.
The game generates a fresh offer based on your current:
- Federation popularity
- Expected ratings
- Current federation position
If accepted, the new contract replaces the existing deal.
Renegotiation becomes available within:
- 4 weeks of expiry
- Or 1 show remaining
This matches the Sponsor renewal window.
Why this matters
A federation that has grown significantly should not have to wait for an old contract to completely expire before negotiating terms that better reflect its current value.
Brand deletion fix
Brands could previously become impossible to delete if they had ever been associated with a TV Network deal, even if that deal had expired long ago.
Now only an active TV deal blocks brand deletion.
If deletion is blocked, the game also tells you why instead of silently refusing the action.
Community Rewards fixed on native apps
Community Rewards could become stuck at 0/6 on the native app.
The internal browser used for social links was not correctly reporting when the player returned to the game.
That has now been fixed, so completed community visits should register properly.
Legacy AI Federation rosters repaired
Some older saves could still contain procedurally generated AI wrestlers from before AI Federation rosters were connected to the shared wrestler pool.
These old placeholders often had:
- No proper portrait
- Initials instead of wrestler images
- Outdated roster data
Beta 1.2.1 includes a one-time save migration.
Each legacy placeholder is replaced with a real, currently unclaimed wrestler of similar category and strength.
The migration also updates references across:
- AI rosters
- Contracts
- Historical records
- Other connected data
Why this matters
Older saves should continue benefiting from improvements to the modern wrestler database instead of permanently carrying outdated placeholder talent.
Wrestling GM 2026 on the web
The web build of Wrestling GM 2026 has now been configured and shipped.
The web version also uses aggressive asset caching, which should make repeat visits significantly faster after the first load.
This is an important step toward making the same wrestling universe accessible across more devices.
Better tablet and desktop support
Beta 1.2.1 introduces major improvements to the startup experience on larger screens.
Previously, the startup screen was primarily designed around mobile.
Tablet and desktop users could see:
- Narrow mobile layouts
- Empty screen space
- Incorrect offsets
- Missing headers
- Unnecessary page scrolling
- In some cases, a completely blank startup screen
The startup experience now has proper layouts for:
- Mobile
- Tablet
- Desktop
- Large desktop
Better save management on larger screens
The startup Options page now has a dedicated tablet and desktop layout.
Your Saved Games now shows both save slots side by side.
Empty slots have a clearer Start New Game prompt.
If both slots are occupied, the fallback action is now presented as a proper full-width primary button.
Desktop and tablet save cards also have inline delete controls, restoring an option that disappeared when the old mobile Load Game modal was removed.
Why this matters
Wrestling GM 2026 is increasingly being played beyond a traditional mobile layout.
The interface now starts adapting properly to the device rather than simply stretching a phone screen across a larger display.
Startup and image performance
Startup images have been converted to WebP.
Wrestler image loading has also received performance improvements.
Together with the web build's asset caching, these changes should reduce unnecessary loading and improve the overall feel of the game.
Brazilian Portuguese localisation fix
Some Brazilian Portuguese startup and roster text had accidentally remained in Spanish since the locale was first created.
Those strings have now been properly retranslated into Brazilian Portuguese.
The rest of the pt-BR localisation was also scanned for similar issues, with no further Spanish contamination found.
Other technical cleanup
While working through the brand and contract systems, two remaining hardcoded colour implementations were also replaced with the game's existing semantic Badge styling.
It is a small technical change, but it helps keep the interface consistent as themes and layouts continue to evolve.
Thank you
Beta 1.2.1 is not designed to reinvent Wrestling GM 2026.
Instead, it strengthens the systems introduced across the last several releases.
Brand contracts behave more reliably. Network Goals are smarter. Old saves are cleaned up. Community Rewards work properly on native devices. Tablet and desktop players get a real responsive experience. And the web version takes another important step forward.
These smaller updates are important because they make the bigger features dependable.
Thank you to everyone reporting bugs, testing complex saves, and helping identify the edge cases that make these fixes possible.
