    Beta 1.1.7 Preview

Storylines, Community Rewards, and a more alive wrestling universe

Beta 1.1.7 is currently in development for Wrestling GM 2026, and this update has grown into something bigger than originally planned.

Rather than rushing it into a full public release, I am taking a little more time to work through the new systems properly. This update focuses heavily on making your wrestling universe feel more alive, more reactive, and more personal.

The preview of Beta 1.1.7 will be available early to Patreon supporters.

If you want early previews, exclusive Patreon-only devlogs, and a 20% discount on Create Custom Wrestler, you can support Wrestling GM 2026 from £2 / $3 per month through The GM Club.

Wrestling GM 2026 Beta 1.1.7 Preview

    What Beta 1.1.7 focuses on

The focus of this update is storytelling, community engagement, and deeper customisation.

Community Rewards are being added to reward players for supporting Wrestling GM 2026 across social platforms. Rivalries are being rebuilt with Storyline Narratives. Angles and Promos are becoming more flexible, allowing players to define intent, location, and outcome. Championships are also receiving visual and functional improvements, including predefined belts and custom uploads.

This is a big update, and there is still more to finish before public release.

    Community Rewards

Beta 1.1.7 introduces a new Community Rewards system.

The idea is simple: players can earn in-game rewards for following or subscribing to Wrestling GM 2026 across social platforms.

These rewards do not require payment. Free options will be available, including the free Patreon tier.

After completing a community action, players will receive a random selection of reward options.

    Possible rewards include:

    • Elite Coach Visit — Two of your wrestlers receive advanced training from an industry-leading coach
    • Sponsor Donation — JustKeepGaming.Online sends your federation a cash donation after becoming a huge fan of your work
    • Local Gym Deal — You secure a local gym partnership, making your next training session free
    • Roster Spa Break — Your roster gets a well-deserved recovery break and everyone regains stamina
    • Social Buzz — Your recent community activity creates buzz, increasing attendance for your next show
    • Industry Goodwill — Your community activity gets noticed, improving relationships with several AI Federations

After following all 6 pages, players will unlock a bonus prize package:

    • 5% attendance boost for the next 2 shows
    • 3 free training sessions
    • Roster recovery +10
    • AI Federation relationship improvement
    • Sponsor donation

    Why this matters

Wrestling GM 2026 is growing because of the community around it. Community Rewards are a way to recognise players who help spread the word, without turning support into a paid advantage.

The goal is simple: reward engagement, keep it fair, and help the game continue to grow.

Rivalries are being rebuilt with Storyline Narratives

The Rivalries system is receiving a major logic rework.

Beta 1.1.7 introduces Storyline Narratives, allowing players to choose a predefined scenario or continue booking freely.

Storylines are not designed to force players into a specific result. Instead, they provide an objective or direction for the rivalry while still allowing booking freedom.

That means you can follow a storyline structure without being locked into one exact segment, match result, or outcome.

    Why this matters

Rivalries should feel like more than a collection of matches and segments. They should have direction, tension, payoff, and replayability.

Storyline Narratives are intended to give players more structure without taking away control.

    Angles and Promos are changing

Segments and promos are also being reworked.

Angles will now allow players to define clearer intent, such as:

    • Put Opponent Over
    • Elevate Championship
    • Demand Title Match
    • Build Tension
    • Create Sympathy
    • Start Betrayal

Players will also be able to specify the location and outcome of the angle.

    For example:

    • Angle: Ambush
    • Location: Parking Lot
    • Outcome: Betrayal Reveal

This should make storytelling feel more specific and closer to how wrestling angles actually work.

    Why this matters

A backstage ambush, a betrayal reveal, a title demand, and a championship celebration should not all feel like the same generic segment.

This system is being built to make promos and angles more expressive, more useful, and more connected to the story being told.

    Championship improvements

Championships are also getting attention in Beta 1.1.7.

The update fixes an issue where, after vacating a championship, the previous champion could still appear as Current in championship history.

Championship Cards have also been cleaned up visually, and the game now includes:

    • 9 predefined championships
    • Ability to upload your own custom championship belt or logo

For best results when uploading a custom championship belt, use a PNG image in a 2:1 aspect ratio. The image should be twice as wide as it is tall.

    Why this matters

Championships are a major part of any wrestling universe. Cleaner presentation, proper history, predefined options, and custom uploads all help make titles feel more important and more personal to your federation.

    Rumble Feed and injury improvements

A few smaller fixes and quality-of-life improvements are also included in the current Beta 1.1.7 work.

    • Fixed an issue where wrestlers outside the player's federation were incorrectly tagged in Rumble Feed as being part of the player's federation
    • Injury badges on the All Wrestlers page now show how many weeks the wrestler is injured for
    • Continued work on the Angles and Storylines implementation

These are smaller changes, but they help make the game clearer and more consistent.

    Thank you

This update is taking longer because it touches some important systems: rivalries, storytelling, angles, championships, rewards, and community engagement.

I would rather take a little more time and get the foundations right than rush out a half-finished version.
