Wrestling GM 2026 - Beta 1.1.0 Release Notes
Beta 1.1.0 is now live
Better onboarding, deeper booking tools, and a cleaner player experience
Beta 1.1.0 is rolling out now for Wrestling GM 2026. This update is focused on making the game easier to start, more flexible to book, and clearer to read across the screens players use most often.
That means better guidance for new players, more control in match creation, a wider set of training choices, and presentation updates that make roster management easier to scan at a glance. It also includes a round of fixes and support work that should make the game feel more stable and more readable on mobile.
Wrestling GM 2026 is still built around the same core promise: a wrestling management sim with no forced ads and no pay-to-win mechanics. The goal of this update is to make that experience feel smoother, more useful, and more inviting for both new and returning players.
What Beta 1.1.0 focuses on
The main goals for this release were simple:
- Help new players get started with less friction
- Give managers more meaningful training choices
- Expand the range of match booking options
- Improve how important roster information is displayed
- Fix issues that were affecting booking, payments, and mobile usability
New player onboarding
The early game is one of the most important parts of any management sim, and Beta 1.1.0 adds a clearer first-time path for new players.
- Added a starter pop-up that welcomes new players to the game
- Added a new player checklist to guide players through setup
- The checklist now offers a reward after the player runs their first successful show
This should make the first session feel less like a blank slate and more like a guided introduction to the core loop of booking, managing, and growing a federation.
Training now has more depth
Training has been expanded so players can choose the approach that fits their roster and their risk tolerance.
- Standard training gives players a balanced option
- Enhanced training offers stronger results with different tradeoffs
- Intense training pushes development harder, with higher costs and risks
- Fixed bugs related to the newly added training system
The reason this matters is straightforward: not every wrestler should be trained the same way. A younger prospect, a high-value champion, and a wrestler you are trying to protect for an upcoming feud should not all be handled with the same approach.
Visual updates and theme changes
Several presentation updates landed in this build to make the game easier to read and give it a sharper identity.
- Added a new in-game theme called Redline Arena
- Redline Arena uses graphite, chrome, and red colours
- Updated wrestler cards in the roster page and match creation page
- Wrestler cards now show heel, face, or tweener icons and a category badge
- Stamina levels are now colour coded so players can spot higher injury risk more easily
- Fixed message layouts where titles could be cut off on smaller mobile devices
- Fixed button visibility in messages
These changes are about more than style. When a game asks players to make fast decisions about roster health, matchups, and momentum, the interface needs to surface the right information quickly.
Match booking gets a bigger toolbox
Beta 1.1.0 adds more ways to structure major matches and special attractions.
New match styles
- Last Man Standing
- Falls Count Anywhere
- Ambulance Match
- Casket Match
New match types
- Battle Royal for 6 to 10 participants
- Elimination Chamber for 6 participants
Custom match creation
- Added a Custom Match Creator so players can build their own match types
- Custom match types can be used in shows
Booking flow improvements
- Updated the title step in match booking so it only appears when eligible championships are available for the selected match type and wrestlers
- Stables now display when creating 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5 matches
This gives players more control over the kinds of shows they want to run and helps make the booking flow feel more responsive to the situation on the card.
Wrestler selection is now more consistent
Selection cards have also been tightened up so they behave the same way in more of the game’s important decision points.
- Wrestler selection cards are now consistent when crowning new champions
- Wrestler selection cards are now consistent when creating tag teams or stables
- Wrestler selection cards are now consistent when creating rivalries
That consistency matters because these are all moments where players are making high-impact choices. The less friction there is in those flows, the easier it is to focus on the actual booking decision.
Fixes and polish
Beta 1.1.0 also includes a group of fixes that clean up behaviour across the roster, show booking, and payments.
- Fixed roster filters where updated demeanour or gimmick still showed under old filters
- Fixed invalid wrestler gimmicks
- Fixed Premium Live Event payments only being paid out once a month
- Removed sticky navigation from the show booking screen
- Fixed back button behaviour on the show booking screen
These are the kinds of fixes that do not always stand out in a feature list, but they make a real difference once you are deep into a save and booking week after week.
Website, supporter work, and future pipeline
Alongside the game update, work continued on the support side of the project.
- Worked on the website support section
- Worked on payment integration
- Worked on the wrestler submission form
- Worked on the downstream pipeline for email notifications and storage of user requests
This also connects to a coming soon direction we are calling Become Part of the Wrestling GM 2026 Universe. The goal is to build a better supporter path around the game and the community without losing the simple, player-first identity of the project.
Analytics improvements
We also improved analytics so the game can gather player device screen dimensions.
That data is used to better understand how layouts behave across different devices, which helps us improve the experience for more players over time and catch screen-specific issues earlier.
Thank you for the feedback
Thank you to everyone who has been testing, reporting issues, and sharing thoughts on the game. Beta 1.1.0 is a better release because of that feedback, and the work will keep going in the same direction.
